Pocket DiabetiCare is an application for the Newton PDA. It was developed as a means to capture blood sugar readings and analyze this information as it occurs. It is only meant as a tool to aid in analyzing data, not a replacement for the advice of your doctor.
Meter Support:
The supported meters include the LifeScan, OneTouch II and OneTouch Profile meters. In order to download from your meter, you will need a special cable for interfacing with the OneTouch II and OneTouch Profile meter (this cable is available from LifeScan (1-800-227-8862) and a hardware handshaking modem cable. (This is a standard Macintosh modem cable, with a 25-pin connecter on one end and a round 8-pin connecter on the other. If you have a modem connected to your Newton, you may already have this cable; if not, you can get one anywhere that sells Macintosh hardware.) To download, connect the two cables to each other, connect one end to the meter and the other end to your Newton.
