EstiMATE addresses the increasing needs of mobile architects, engineers, and construction (AEC) trade professionals to perform estimating at any location, freeing them from the office. With EstiMATE, construction professionals can be more responsive in providing bids, quotes, change order proposals, etc. to their customer.
EstiMATE for Newton provides similar functionality of many PC based estimating software; national cost pricing data, locating cost items by either CSI division or keyword index, user definable project level markups (% or $) numerous built-in report formats (summary and detailed reports), user definable work breakdown structure, editing of all cost fields, creation of custom cost data, etc. However, by taking advantage of the unique, simple Newton user interface and the built-in communication capabilities, creating, editing and transferring estimates from anywhere to anyone will never be any easier.
Within EstiMATE, users have a choice from among 32 RS Means databases, ranging from 1000 to over 40,000 cost items. With Means data, an accurate estimate can be developed without ever calling a vendor, supplier, or subcontractor. For General contractors, job superintendents, and project managers, Means data allows effective evaluation of sub-contractor proposals for reasonableness and negotiations. Specialty contractors and installers can now be more responsive in providing timely, "on the spot" proposals to customers.
In addition to Means data, users can also create their own cost database either from within EstiMATE or imported from a Windows(TM) or Macintosh(R) Excel spreadsheet.
EstiMATE also has the capability to import/export estimates as a tab delimited file, which can be opened by Microsoft Excel. Both the Windows and Macintosh transfer applications are included with EstiMATE.
